Bamboo Kolintang Angklung:

These Indonesian instruments are hand made from bamboo & are similar to glockenspiel, marimba or xylophone.

They have a unique & interesting sound, commonly heard in Gamelang music & various other forms of traditional music from this region.

They are hand made to a traditional design & pattern with a varnished finish.

Colours & sizes may vary slightly.

Approximately W:42cm x W:38cm x H:30cm in size.

One 'set' comprises of eight tones (1 octave) & comes with the stand & beater:

One octave.

These are traditional folk instruments, so pitch may not conform exactly with western 'diatonic' scale as they are based on local Asian scales.
