These instruments are hand made from black bamboo.
They are made to a traditional design & pattern.
Choose from a medium or small set.
One 'set' comprises of eight tones (1 octave).
These are traditional folk instruments, so pitch may not conform exactly with western 'diatonic' scale as they are based on local Asian scales.
They have a unique & interesting sound, commonly heard in Gamelang music & various other forms of traditional music from this region.
The instrument flat packs for shipping & are packed in bubble wrap & cardboard boxes.
