Handmade Batik Bag:
These beautiful & unique handmade Batik bags are made by adults with disabilities.
Each fabric is unique, although some use the same techniques & colour schemes.
They have cotton handles & are very good quality, well made bags.
Size is approximately 300m x 260mm x 120mm.
The bags are made by people with disabilities, most of whom would not be able to get work or be able to support themselves if it was not for this project. They work together for 5 days a week & get support from the 'Rumah Kinasih' centre. They learn traditional & contemporary skills like Batik, Bambu & Wood crafts. The project is self financing with no other income apart from the products they sell. The local government support the project by providing the centre & one staff, but unfortunately no actual financial funding at the moment. By buying this Batik product you are supporting this great project. Thanks.
