Suar Slab Wood, 3 Piece Kitchen Furniture Set:

These kitchen (or dining room) table sets comprise of 2 slab wood benches & 1 slab wood table.

Table measures approximately 80mm thick x 800mm wide x 2000mm long (benches similar length & thickness but lower).

Comes with a choice of water based Varnish finishes.

We can also supply these in Tamarind wood (Tamarindus indica) at the same price.

These tables obviously vary in shape, colour & form, due to the individual nature of each tree.

If there are natural splits in the timbers, Teak, Mahoni or Rosewood dovetailed bowties are used to stabilise the wood & prevent it from cracking any further.

Suar wood (botanical name: Saman samanea) is also called Kayu Meh or Trembesi in Indonesia, but is also known as Monkey Pod, South American Walnut, East Indian Walnut, Giant Thibet, Rain Tree Wood & many other names in the west. It is a very strong & durable hardwood. It has beautiful colours & grain figure, but is generally cheaper than teak wood.

Hand made by experienced skilled Javanese craftsmen, who have been producing this furniture since 2010.

The sets come individually flat packed in cardboard & bubble wrap for shipping. Discreet screw bolts (supplied) are used to join the pieces back together after shipping.
